If you can believe it, the mind can achieve it.

Our daughter, Erica, will give birth to a second child within two years of her first.
She finished work Friday and, along with her husband, volunteered to host 25 people at their home for my mother’s eighty-third birthday on Sunday.
Since then, we have been busy preparing for the delivery, officially expected on Monday, Family Day in Ontario.
Like her first birth experience, the intent is to do it at home.
As I read aloud the midwife instructions about what to put in the hospital bag in case of emergency, Erica immediately said, "I’m not doing that.”
No plan B for our daughter. She has learned to focus on one thing for success.
Her confidence and “can-do” attitude never cease to amaze me. She is a minimalist when it comes to medical intervention, including ultrasounds.
Unlike me, who, after having watched traumatizing birth experiences in my youth that created anxiety about having my own children, Erica embraces childbirth without fear.
With the right mindset and HypnoBirthing guidelines, she is surrendering to what is to come.
HypnoBirthing is natural childbirth combined with specific relaxation and mind-body techniques, very similar to meditation.
Next week, I expect to be sharing a successful birth experience.

Patience is not simply the ability to wait - it's how we behave while we're waiting.

I wrote the content above last night before bed.
I've been up all night. Erica delivered another healthy baby girl. She made it look easy.
Labour was three and a half hours. The midwives were knowledgeable, kind and competent.
We are counting our blessings.
