The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile universe.
~ Albert Einstein
On a car ride with my husband this week, I was thrilled to hear a podcaster who dared to break the silence and challenge the mainstream narrative during the pandemic admit that he holds no grudge over those who attempted to cancel and demonize him.
He is willing to forgive all who got it wrong with lockdowns and mandates. He said we must be charitable and forgiving because it’s the only way to reunite.
Wisdom comes from unusual sources at times. The lens through which I see things would never have had me think that an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) commentator could be so capable of navigating complex topics and become such a source of wisdom.
While we cannot ignore bad behaviour and need to hold accountable those who cause harm, not forgiving is like drinking a cup of poison and expecting your enemy to die.
We are creating division if we spend all our time blaming and demonizing. Kindness begets kindness. We can rehabilitate the “bad” guys. Good triumphs over evil.
Elevate your feelings with higher-vibrational thoughts
If thoughts are the vocabulary of the brain and feelings are the vocabulary of the body, and the cycle of how you think and feel becomes your state of being, then your entire state of being is in the past.

Listening to the podcast reminded me of a wise parable that goes something like this:
A Cherokee grandfather tells his grandson,
There is a fight going on inside me. It’s a terrible fight between two wolves.
One wolf is full of rage, hatred, arrogance, the need to be right, greed, bitterness, and revenge.
The other is full of love, joy, generosity, compassion, forgiveness, courage, humility, and faith.
The grandson thinks about this and asks his grandpa, “Which wolf will win?”
The grandfather replies, “The one I feed.”
Closing thoughts
We know that it takes a clear intention (a coherent brain) and an elevated emotion (a coherent heart) to begin to change a person’s biology from living in the past to living in the future. That combination of mind and body—of thoughts and feelings—also seems to influence matter. And that’s how you create reality.

What we marinate our minds in impacts how we feel and behave.
When I focus on what is good and overcome any fear, I vibrate at a higher frequency energetically. At such times, I have experienced miraculous healing, coming not from me but through me. We are all capable of this.
I have complete conviction (faith) that when we forgive, overcome the need to be right, and connect to a higher power, all will be well - the good will triumph over the misguided. Collectively we will accomplish extraordinary outcomes.
