Your true character is most accurately measured by how you treat those who can do 'Nothing' for you.
~ Mother Teresa
The leaders we attract reflect the collective state of mind.
Sometimes conditions have to become unbearable before we realize we can no longer be complacent.
There are reasons to be optimistic about the future for America.
Last week, I watched the United States presidential debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
It was a sad display of incompetence. Yet, the mockery and ridicule that followed left a bad taste in my mouth.
A glimmer of hope
If we want to be compassionate we must be conscious of the words we use. We must both speak and listen from the heart.
~ Marshall B. Rosenberg
Fortunately, there is a glimmer of hope - a feeling of optimism that can arise in the face of adversity or uncertainty.
The political apparatus attempted to promote the idea that the choice was binary - Trump or Biden - but that’s not true.
Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has gained much traction despite being excluded.
During the debate, the two-minute or less time allotted to answer questions suited Trump’s soundbite approach and reduced the likelihood that Biden would ramble on incoherently. But, the lack of their leadership qualities became widely showcased.
Fortunately, a “real debate” was made possible. Elon Musk granted RFK Jr. the opportunity to answer the questions. It drew an unprecedented number of viewers.
People want real change, a fresh perspective, renewed hope.
RFK Jr. demonstrated mastery of the issues. With his compassionate communication style and intent to reunite a divided country, he is captivating the hearts of Americans.
His campaign to address corporate capture of government is a critical step towards reclaiming democracy and ensuring that government serves the public.
